The Ministry of Transport has submitted a draft decree on conditional
business lines. According to the draft, a new airline must have capital
of at least VND100 billion (US$4.66 million).
Vietjet on May 12 launched three new routes from Hai Phong to Phu Quoc,
Da Lat and Buon Me Thuot in celebration of the opening of Cat Bi
International Airport''s new terminal.
Vietjet on May 10 started selling airfares on its newest domestic route
connecting Nha Trang and Thanh Hoa Province with tickets priced only
from VND599,000 (US$24).
With the launch of budget airlines in recent years, more and more
Vietnamese travellers have been benefiting from booking tickets well in
advance to secure low-cost air fares.
